The Team
Leanne
Hi, I’m Leanne and I am an BACP accredited person-centred counsellor, psychotherapist and group facilitator. I have experience working with Employment Assistance Programmes (EAPs) and in private practice.

In my training I volunteered at the youth organisation, No Limits where I worked with young people struggling with home life, school and university life, homelessness and trauma. During the Covid lockdowns I also volunteered at a local bereavement charity helping clients come to terms with losing loved ones before and during the pandemic and the impact that Covid was having on their process.

Some of the issues I work with are; Anxiety, depression, trauma, work related stress, bereavement, Suicidal thoughts and Self-harm. I am also an accredited practitioner working with pregnancy and infant loss and subsequent pregnancy after loss.

In my work I provide you with the conditions that will help you explore what is going on within you, whether that is relating to anything that has happened in the past, is happening in the present or worries for the future. Being able to explore these things on a deeper level can help you find the ways to accept, overcome challenges and have a better understanding of you and your true values are. I also offer creative art and play therapy if you're finding it difficult to explore your experiences verbally.
Steve
Hi, My name is Steve. I hold a diploma in Person-Centred Counselling. I have worked as a volunteer for two local counselling agencies.

My approach is more Integrative. It is based upon the Person-Centred model of counselling which was developed by Carl Rogers. Whilst I passionately believe in this approach, I also believe that one size does not fit all. We are all individuals and I may occasionally use techniques from another counselling model to suit you as an individual.
I have experience working with the LGBTQ+ community and frequently attend various workshops focusing on such things as working with adult transgender clients and suicide, so that I can more fully understand the issues surrounding these and how they impact upon people and those close to them.

As well as being a member of the BACP, I am also a member of the Hampshire Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (HACP)
